About Us

Muunj is rooted in a life shaped by movement, diversity, and a deep connection to home. Growing up as an army kid meant traveling across the country and living in many homes, each different, yet familiar in its own way. While the essentials remained the same, every home carried something special: handcrafted pieces from the place people called their own. These objects became quiet reminders of belonging, helping families stay connected to their roots no matter where they were posted.

At the heart of this story is my mother. Wherever we moved, she carried her love for embroidery with her, stitching TV covers, dining linens, bedspreads, cushions, and even carpets. Her work was never just decorative; it was a way of making each new house feel personal and lived-in. Many of her pieces remain unfinished, left behind by frequent relocations, and though she never had the opportunity to build a career from her craft, her passion left a lasting imprint on me.

Through her, I developed a deep appreciation for textiles, craftsmanship, and the quiet power of home furnishings. That early influence stayed with me as I built a career spanning nearly 15 years across the army, public relations, and sales but the desire to create something meaningful, rooted in craft and home, never left.

Muunj is the result of taking that leap. It is a brand born from lived experiences and a belief that handcrafted pieces can carry memory, comfort, and identity across spaces. By working with local artisans and traditional techniques, Muunj seeks to create home furnishings that are grounded in craft yet designed for modern, global living.

This is our way of honoring stories that deserve to be continued - of homes that travel with you, and crafts that should never be left unfinished.
